Muraba Veil is an architectural statement in one of Dubai’s most striking locations – where the Dubai Water Canal meets Sheikh Zayed Road. Situated between Jumeirah Beach and Downtown Dubai, this visionary residential tower defines itself not by scale, but by significance.
Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning RCR Arquitectes, Muraba Veil is a “soft skyscraper” – a tower reimagined with flowing forms, a climate-responsive façade, and interiors bathed in natural light. “Seen and not seen” – Architecture that holds back, yet reveals everything
Muraba Veil is no ordinary tower. It is an architectural composition that unfolds through delicately layered structures – subtle, floating, almost immaterial. Rather than relying on monumental mass, the building reveals itself like a veil: protective, structured, and yet permeable.
The defining veil – a finely woven façade – is inspired by the natural forces of the region: the wind, the sand, and the shifting desert light. Drawing from the tradition of Mashrabiyas, it filters sunlight and heat, softens direct exposure, and creates a dynamic interplay of shadow and transparency.
This architectural skin is both functional and poetic. It enables natural cross-ventilation, shields against desert sand, and regulates the microclimate of the interiors – a conscious response to the elements, not a resistance to them.

RCR Arquitectes – The Visionaries Behind the Form
The iconic design is the work of internationally acclaimed architectural studio RCR Arquitectes, based in Catalonia, Spain. Founded by Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem, and Ramon Vilalta, the trio is renowned for an architecture that brings landscape, light, and material into quiet harmony.
In 2017, they were awarded the Pritzker Prize – the highest honor in the world of architecture. Their work is always rooted in place, sensorial in experience, and radically minimal in form. With Muraba Veil, they have created a building that doesn’t rise into the sky – it grows from the site itself.
